Alicia Anderson (BS ’08); family nurse practitioner track; RN, Infant Medical Surgical Unit, Primary Children’s Hospital; Pleasant Grove, UT. Alicia currently serves on the college’s alumni board and represents the College of Nursing to the university alumni committee.

Nicolette Broby CEN; family nurse practitioner track; charge and RN, University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics; Salt Lake City, UT. Nicolette spent more than three years as a medical volunteer consultant for the Church, assisting area welfare managers around the world in efforts to improve emergency response plans. She received three significant awards for her service to healthcare: Outstanding Citizen Award from the U.S. Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort, May 2011; Outstanding Representative of Community Involvement from Arizona State University College of Nursing Staff, May 2006; and Employee of the Year from the University of Utah Emergency Department, December 2014.

R. Scott Fletcher; family nurse practitioner track; orthopedic nurse; West Jordan, UT. He received his BSN from Utah Valley University and has worked for seven years at Intermountain Medical Center. He loves playing soccer.

Valynn’s favorite scripture is Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” She is married with four children. She enjoys reading, music, camping, and spending time with her family.

Barrett Raymond NRP; family nurse practitioner track; hazmat and disaster planning lead, Intermountain Healthcare; paramedic with UT-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT); Springville, UT. Barrett has served for nearly seven years as a medical specialist for the U.S. Army. He enjoys boating and doing outdoor activities with his four children.

As a 1st year student, I’ve been very excited to undertake this program at BYU. The faculty has all been very supportive and caring about our success here. While expectations are high and the requirements are challenging, the teachers show genuine love and compassion and are willing to help in any way.
